I don’t have any recipes for you today really, so I feel like I have to apologize. It has been a whirlwind beginning to my week, but I’m finally able to relax a little bit…for now. First, I have a couple announcements I thought I would share!
Blue Rose Baking Co., my vegan labour of love, will be officially launching this summer at the Southwest Edmonton Farmer’s Market! I am looking at filling my summer with another spot or two, so will post all of my dates on the company website when they are confirmed! Just putting it out there- if anyone in Calgary or Edmonton has any fun pop-ups they think I should know about or would like to collaborate on curating some vegancentric events, I would be more than down for that!
So, that was actually just like…one announcement but the one I was most excited for. I missed out on blogging for Treat Yoself Tuesday because I had such a jam packed day, but I have totally been catching up and treating muhself all day today too! Last night I saw the new Wes Anderson film, Grand Budapest Hotel. Has anyone seen it yet? It’s kind of amaze.
Then today, I *SLEPT* IN, and met some of my favourites for brunch at The Coup where I shoved a Messy Jane with scrambled tofu in my face like it was going out of style.
I have a serious thing for miso gravy. Last weekend in Edmonton M. and I went to Blue Plate Diner and ate some fries with red wine miso gravy which totally made my life. Actually, last weekend was just a weekend of really good food. Wanna see some?
Where was I, before I got stuck on the tangent of talking about food? Oh yes- my treat muhself week! After brunch, my friends and I went to visit a Dr. Seuss exhibit, went on a David’s Tea shopping binge (actually, I did good. I only bought one kind of tea. That came with an adorable pistachio green tin), and then visited a fellow vegan friend of mine who treated me to some delicious croissants and brownies! I feel so spoiled!
Now I am pretty well cozied on the couch, sipping all of the tea and hanging out with Netflix. Heading back to Edmonton for another weekend, and looking forward to curling up into little balls, drinking all the cozy things, and being fairly awesome. Hope everyone else is having a great week!
