Happy New Year Darlings!

Happy New Year lovelies! I would like to apologize for my lack of posts over the past couple of weeks, but I am sure that everyone has been so busy with the hustle and bustle of the holidays that no one would have noticed anyways! I have spent the first day of 2014 staying warm and cozy inside, with Trailer Park Boys marathons and video games, as one should.

My New Years Eve was fantastic and quiet just like I like them. M took me to a lovely Indian food restaurant in Edmonton called Narayannis, where they were having a New Years Eve buffet. I had never been and was pleasantly surprised! Usually on Tuesdays, they are a full vegan buffet, but since it was a *special* occasion it was an omni spread, but with plenty of vegan options. While I found the service a little sparse, I totally understood on account of it being busy and lively and vibrant inside. We were initially bummed to see none of the dessert offerings were vegan, until who I can only assume to be the manager/owner brought us out FOUR DIFFERENT VEGAN DESSERTS from the back- a mango mousse, chocolate cupcakes, and a mini crumble and pumpkin cheesecake. I may or may not have died when I tried the pumpkin cheesecake. Just saying. Here are some pictures of our night!

i think we clean up pretty well for dinner, but we are still the dorkiest. :)

While I am not one for resolutions really, I am making personal goals to relax and slow down when life is moving too fast, which has caught me to fall behind in some of my favourite things, such as blogging, reading, being outdoors, yoga, etc. Between forty hour work weeks, classes after work, travelling between cities, and trying to figure out how I am going to make daydreams happen, having the time to blog has been a luxury to me. Instead, I want to make setting aside time for these things more of a priority and less of a task.

I also hope to visit at least two new places (Seattle is on the radar right now…no I’ve never been….crazy right?!), and take pictures of things that aren’t just food, because those are pretty much all that turned up in my top “likes” of 2013 on Instagram.

Happy 2014 everyone! I’ll talk to you soon 🙂
